Calendar Homescreen

Hi everyone, new to the iphone, came from HTC. Quick question though, is there anyway to set you Calendar to your homescreen or some form of this. It is kindof annoying having to go into the calendar to see my schedule for the day.

No, just havetoo tap the app. There are a few options with jailbroken phones but most don't work so well...

I have a JailBroke iPhone4 (4.1) and I use "LockInfo" app from the Cydia store. This app will let you have your Calendar info, Mail info, Weather info, Twitter info, and many other info apps on your Lock screen or, on you Home screen, or as a roll-up. Works well for me. The weather app is a pain to set up though.

I'm a little nervous jailbreaking my phone...have you experinced any problems with doing it? If not, what is the best way to do it on 4.1?

The actual JB was very easy if you follow the instructions to a tee. Takes about 10 to 30 min if you have a lot on your phone as the backup and restore take the most time. "iClarified" web sit has some good tutorials. This website, iPhone Forum, also has some good walk-thru's that are very helpful. Just be sure you are familiar with doing an iPhone reset, it's like Ctl-Alt Delete on a PC. To reset your iPhone, hold down the "Home", bottom button, and the "Sleep", top button, until you see the gray Apple symbol. Let it reboot. NOTE: this can take up to approximately 3-5 min at times. Just give it time. I tend to panic too soon. LOL

Try many forums and look in there JailBreak threads. Read all you can before you make the jump, keeping in mind that many people who have problems didn't follow the directions properly. I used Limerain to JB my iPhone4 and iPad. Many people use Greenpoision and are happy with that. The end result is the same.

Maybe I don't understand the question. The Calendar app is right there on the phone. If it's not on your home page, just drag it there. Then all you have to do is tap is and bingo! There's your calendar. Why is that annoying?

He means a "today" theme that would be familiar to berry and driod phones users it lists your next few enteries
