Call goes straight to answerphone but not diverted

Hi guys

Thanks a lot for all the help so far but I have another problem I just cant work out, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I work away from home and call my beautiful wife every night but I am getting severely frustrated as I call her on her new iPhone 4 from my iPhone 4 and it goes straight to answerphone. I then call on the land line and get through but no one is using her iPhone. The signal bar is at 2 bars, the battery has plenty charge and she is not on face book or weight watchers which are her two main apps. We then try again and again and again but to no avail. The only way to get through is to switch her phone off and then on again and then I get through and not to answerphone?????
Is there anyone out there who can help or has a suggestion?

Try contacting the network first see if there is a problem with the masts in the area. After that try a restore with iTunes and set up as new to see if that fixes things. If all else fails take a trip to the apple store.
