Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 players will be happy to read the news on MacRumors today that Call of Duty Elite is getting its own iPhone app, which will be launching tomorrow. Call of Duty Elite is the online companion to MW3, extending the gaming experience for the fans with in-game competitions, gameplay strategies, and all manner of stats. Chacko Sonny, head of Beachhead Studio, the arm of Activision Blizzard that is responsible for Call of Duty Elite, told MacRumors that the app mirrors the Elite website, including four of the main features that fans will recognize from the site, namely Career Summary, Recent Matches, Challenges, and Custom Classes. Sonny added that fans can expect many future updates and upgrades to the app, based on feedback from the MW3 community.
The app will be free to download and available to all Call of Duty Elite players, and you have to be connected to the Internet either on Wi-Fi or 3G to use it.
