Calls are not completed

My sister bought a iPhone 6+ and I installed an OtterBox case for it. She was initially upset because she had to press harder to call up an app or icon but she's over that now. However...

When she goes to Phone-Favorites and presses a person to call, it shows the call's being made, then the screen goes blank and the call isn't completed.

It didn't do this before the OtterBox case was installed... any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated. She's handicapped and needs to be able to call out. Thank you in advance.

Have you tried removing the case and making a phone call without the case on the phone? If the call goes through, the case was somehow respondible for the problem. If the problem persists without the case then something else is causing the problem. Also, have you tried making calls in different locations in case the cellular signal was being blocked somehow.
