Camera and video performance on iPhone 5

Can anyone comment on the new iPhone's camera? Are there any noticeable differences from the 4s camera? Does it perform better in low light like Apple claims? I hear that the colors in the photos look crisper and richer, however, some attribute that to the new screen. Has anyone done a comparison where you took the same pic with a 5 and then a 4s and then upload it to a computer? Did you notice a difference? Any info would be greatly appreciated as I don't yet have one, and the quality of the camera will be an important factor in making a decision on whether to buy or not.

The camera is much better on the IPhone 5, the front camera is 720 P.

I've had Purple Haze on all my music players. What's Jimmy Hendrix have to do with iPhone?

Some reported issues of a purple haze when taking a photo with bright light or bright background.
