This posted before I could finish typing...the camera flash stays on too long and the picture is whited out. I've done a full restore to it twice but this does not solve the problem. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

You wouldn't happen to have a case on your phone would you? Say one made by Otterbox or a clone of their design?

No...no case at all. Why?

If anyone from iPhone or Apple is reading this, please note that I've spent hours on the phone with tech support and they could not figure out how to solve this problem

Because that is the leading cause of flash issues on the iPhone.

Would you be so kind and post an example of the issue along with the distance from the phone to the subject?

The plastic film cover that came with your Phone needs to be pealed off ,, i had the same problem
