Camera Roll Appears Twice

Hi I’m a newbie and typically I’m after some help please. My wife had a problem last week on her iPhone 11 and she says that she’s done nothing that she remembers to have caused it. On her Home Screen amongst the several apps that she has there is the camera roll which is called “Photos” and her back up which is called “Google Photos” - very normal I’d guess. Then last week she finds on the same page of her home screen a second copy of Photos appears also called Photos. I’ve checked and both versions have exactly the same content - identical photos, albums, etc. Complete mystery. Yesterday she acquired an iPhone 13 Mini and copied the content of the 11 to the 13 and naturally the 13 now has two Photos. I’ve held each in and both give the option to delete but I haven’t done that to either yet. I’ve connected the 13 and copied the Internal storage folders to my hard drive as a precaution. Any advice, help or comments would be most welcome so thanks in advance.

It is possible to have identical copies of the same App on an iPhone. One way this can happen is when an App is dragged from the Library onto a Home Page. You should be able to delete one copy - Just make sure you don't delete its data.
