Can I disable the mute switch on my iphone4?

I have tried to search the forum and didnt find anything.

My mute switch on the top left corner keeps getting bumped to silent and i miss calls. Is there any way to disable this?

I don't think you can do this. At least not on a non jailbreak phone.

There must be an application or something?

If not i'll be putting a strip of glue on it to keep it from moving.


The other complaint i have is low volume.

Other than that I like it.

My 3GS had this problem. I think it was a common fault. My 4G is very stiff however. Perhaps there is a fault with yours?

Do you have a case? I as because looking at the case I have, due to the thickness of it the mute switch is sunk in slightly instead of being slightly sticking out. Perhaps getting a similar case would solve your problem...?

Yes I do have a case.
With the case the switch does not stick out at all, but still gets moved.
