Can the iphone 4 connect to the internet through a home wireless router

I want to buy a white iphone 4 for my kid but wondering if she would be able to surf the internet on the iphone 4 without using up her included data if she is at home, as we have a home wireless router. any ideas?

You would only rely on the 3G service for data when you are away from home, because WI-FI is faster. Obviously, when your daughter makes phone calls on the iPhone, that will be through the "phone" side of the service wherever she is. But normally, at home, you would use WI-FI to connect with your router.
