I had my ipad but it kept going in a bootloop And I didn't jb or anything. It was refurbished, but I used it while the plastic wrap was still on...do you think it overheated and got damaged? Main issue Was that it would go in a boot loop when screen was off, and I even did a clean restore.

Are you or were you trying to jailbreak your iPad? In either case, following this tutorial exactly should result in a properly functioning iPad running the current version of iOS.
http://www.ipadforums.net/jailbreak...lsafe-method-restore-current-version-ios.html you will lose your jailbreak if you take this tutorial, however.
You may want to consider asking further iPad related questions on our sister forum, the iPad Forums. http://www.ipadforums.net/

It's hard for an idevice to overheat since it has safety protocols that kick in when it's about that certain temperature. As for the plastic that comes with the device, it shouldn't have any effect on your device. The only "add-on" that would affect the device would be something with a magnet like a smart cover, which can slowly sap away your battery.

As for boot looping, it might be a system/kernel problem. Did you do a restore in DFU mode? Or in recovery mode
