Please help. I am trying to downgrade to 4.2.1 from ios 4.3. I have all the right ssh files ect. when i go into dmf mode and try o locate the etc file on my mac it is no there. can anyone help. i have searched everywher on my mac for the file!!! Im going crazy. I didnt upgrade to 4.3 on purpose and now i am stuck!!!

are you trying to downgrade for unlock? because you cant downgrade baseband
or for jailbreak? because that would work

The hosts file that your looking to edit that's in the etc folder is for windows. I don't know how to downgrade on a mac but I do know it's different from windows...
