Cant make/recieve calls?

Have a jail broken iPhone 4 on 5.0.1 and I can't receive calls, it goes straight to my voicemail. Every time I make a call, it shows the calling screen, but there is no dial tone. When I press end, it goes gray but doesn't go back to the phone app. It's not frozen, because I can go to the home screen and do stuff but when I go back, it goes back to trying to connect then I have to respring my phone to get back to phone app. I need help ASAP!

if you have verizon dial *22899 send and let it do the rest if some other carrier look for activation methods, this has worked for me and others but maybe not you
also (in case you did not know) hold the power and home buttons down at the same time and keep holding both down until you see the apple logo then let both buttons go.

after this I do not know, maybe someone else will chime in but we might need to know what carrier is it made for?

I have AT&T
