Can't reset phone

My iPhone 5 LCD was damaged so I can't do anything to include reset the phone. I can't reset it from iTunes either. In iTunes it is saying to turn off the Find My iPhone app but I can't get into the settings since the LCD is screwed up. My main problem is that I did an insurance claim and have to send them the damaged phone and I'd like to not let them access any of my data, is there anything I can do?

You can sign in to iCloud online and wipe the phone from there.
