Can't update Iphone4

Every time I start the update for ios5 the computer displays that it is contacting the server then I get a pop up window that has all the new features the new iOS has but the whole updating stops there. The computer itself is running windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are other people having issues connecting to the server still. It seems like this is the issue I'm having.

try turning off your firewall and antivirus.

Figured out there is some reason the net book I was using would not allow me to see the whole screen for some reason not sure if the screen settings are wrong or what
