Charging iphone

Yes... you can use an iPad charger w/ an iPhone. While an iPad charger will provide more charging amperage... your iPhone will only draw the proper amount it needs for a proper charge.

What are some of the differences between an iphone and a ipad -- cost wise, and major differences?
My iphone 3gs contract is up in few months, and going to cancel it as $81 monthly. Thanks.

An iPad's price is not offset by a carrier (at least in the USA), so you are looking at starting with $499 (USD) for the cheapest iPad (16GB with no cellular access) going up to the most expensive at $929 for a 128GB with WiFi and cellular (LTE).

The biggest major difference is that the iPad (even if you got the smaller Mini) is not a phone. I know, I know, duh! :) But, what I mean is, despite some awesome apps for texting and making phone calls, nothing, IMHO, beats having an actual phone to do those two functions. Again, IMHO.

Thank you for keeping it simple for me, as I have a hard time keeping up with the latest technology. I am thinking of going back to the Tracfone prepaid phone which would cover me for a year with calls and texts for $100 per year. Thanks again for your help.
