Seed 2: Vortex, the much-anticipated sequel to Chillingo's Seed 1: Rise of Darkness, has arrived in the app store today for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, the publisher has announced. The old-school RPG invites players into the world of Litta and his companion, Gina. The action begins five years on from the first game; Litta is now a teacher, but his whole world is turned upside down after a powerful dream that encourages him to undertake a new epic quest, beginning in the once bright and bustling city of Moizer, which Litta and Gina discover has been ravaged by war and almost completely destroyed.
The gameplay is very old-school RPG, with players getting the chance to explore a vast, virtual and ever-changing world and interact with local villagers and enemies. If you like tinkering with stats and customising your character, then Seed 2 offers you all that sort of goodness, as you customise your character attributes and level up as you progress through the game, adjusting stats to focus on swordplay, firearms or magic.
Aside from indulging in plenty of intricate stat-tinkering, players also get to battle over 160 kinds of monsters across over 200 battlefields, using a variety of attack methods, including firearms and a powerful dash attack. There's also plenty of questing, with tasks to fulfil ranging from destroying big bad monsters, collecting treasures, delivering valuable goods, offering protection to those in need, taking on whole enemy fortresses and much more.
Along the way you'll also learn more about the relationships between the characters and their rivals, as you compete on the integrated Crystal leaderboards against players all over the world.
