Choppy static music?!

I've recently got the iPhone 4 on Verizon. I uploaded all my music too it and all of the songs have a choppy static sound throughout the whole song. I was wondering what this is an how can I fix it. It's very irritating. Especially coming from a brand new phone.

Are you using Bluetooth headphones? If so is the phone too far away?

Nope, normAl head phones. It also does it on

you've tried different headphones?

What format is the music? VBR has been known to pose problems in the past.

Yes I have tried different headphones. And it also play choppy out of iTunes as well. I'm not sure what type of file. I will check when I get home. Most are ripped straight from the cd.
