My wife's iPhone button was sticking, so we took it to the Apple Store and they fixed it for free - but they took off her tempered glass screen protector, which now is dirty on the sticky side.

Is there any way to clean this and have it still work?

When you say dirty are you talking about fluff or such?

Try dabbing it with sticky tape and see if it lifts it off.

I'm not sure what it is. There's a fingerprint and a hair (the hair will be easy to fix), and some splots. The protector was off for an hour as we walked around the mall, with sticky side up as it was sitting in her iPhone case.

Is it one of those you can wash?

If it is a little warm water and liquid soap should get it clean, see if you still have the packaging or if you know the make Google for care information.

My problem is the dirt is on the sticky side. I'd like to clean it - but will still need it sticky to apply it when I'm done.

I had a Moshi Ivisor that was sticky and even after washing it stuck back on.
If it's unusable as it is it's worth a try.
