Common ? - Updating Version Of Jailbroken Iphone...

Hi all - new member here!

Apologies for posting a similar thread concerning the multitude of concerns about updating to the newest "version" iOS of a jailbroken iPhone.

So right to it - how do I update the iOS version of my jailbroken iPhone, while still preserving the customizations AND jailbroken status? I do understand that some customizations and/or options previously loaded might fail due to incompatibility.

I need direction here - thanks in advance!

If you upgrade your phone you will lose your jailbreak and everything you've done via the jailbreak.

After you upgrade you will need to jailbreak again and start form scratch. Currently the is only a tethered jailbreak for the latest version...

Ah, I suspected this. Thank you gaz.

Alternatively, is there nowhere to save the newest firmware and simply replace it in iTunes like I did during the jailbreak - if that makes sense?
