Contacts directing me to email? :/

Hey my friend is having troble with his iphone 4s, on some of his contacts when he clicks on the number instead of calling them it directs him to the page where he needs to log in to an email account, is this a known issue? Hes tried deleting the number and re adding it and its definitely the right number and the right amount of digits.

Any help would be great!

The number is being added to an email entry, not a phone entry.
