It was reported that "Google flips Android kill switch, nukes evil apps" by using its remote application removal feature. This sounds like a would be scenario for Apple to attack jailbreakers. Any thoughts?

Can't see any company being allowed to remotely access your phone, computer, whatever it may be without your permission and telling you exactly what's going on...

Given the fact that jailbreaking has been declared legal apple can't do anything about it except make it void your warranty.

It would be good if they could do something about pirated apps on the otherhand...

The applications in question where malware that would root the phone and send user information. They were counterfeit applications that were copies of other apps on the market. I do believe they were all free apps and since I also own an Android phone I have no problem with Google pulling something off my phone that has the potential to do damage to my phone and/or send personal information about me to someone.

This would be called 'hacking' and since 'hacking' is sort of illegal, I don't think companies will try to nuke your phone... :o

however, vice versa it IS possible, for example: some developer folks managed to find a hidden google service on their new HoneyComb OS...

hhmmm
