Cracked screen, cracked LCD?

Cracked my screen and I have done searching on the forum so decided to fix myself , but should I buy the glass screen alone? Or with LCd ? Does the glass separate from the phone frame and LCD completely?

If its an iphone 4 the glass front and lcd is one piece.
