Deleted phone numbers

Hi

I deleted some old numbers from my address book but when I send a text message they are still showing up. It can be confusing because I don't know which one is correct. Does anyone know how to delete them from showing up?

Go to wherever you keep your contacts in your computer. Make sure everything is cleaned up their. Then make sure iTunes is syncing to that place in your computer.

I had stuff on my iPad for the longest time, and I still don't know how it got there. But when I got my iPhone5 and synced to Gmail, where I keep my contacts, and then ran a sync on iPad it fixed everything.

I could not figure out a way to delete things I did not want. Even if I used my iMacs address book, it didn't seem to work. Now I'm on PC so maybe that's the difference.
