hi guys, im lewis.
joined up cos i need a little help. im buying a 3g off a friend and ive been told by somebody that you cant get apps for them now? dont know why. ive had a ipod touch so i know all about the app store but i dont get that you cant get apps anymore. is this true or a load of rubbish?

Welcome to the forum. What you've heard is not completely rubbish, in fact most of the available apps for iPhone in the apps store are receiving updates to support the latest iPhones, few of them remain available for the older iPhones. Before you buy that 3g iPhone, go to the apps store and search for most of the apps you might need to have on the iPhone 3g, read through those apps descriptions and make sure that it's mentioned completely down (down the screenshots pictures description) that it support iOS 3+
if you see iOS 4+ or iOS 5+ then it means that the app will not be able to run on the iPhone 3G.
