Did i brick my phone?

I decided to jailbreak my iPhone 4 iOs 5.0.1 via redsn0w, and it went well. But I ultimately did not like it, so i went to un jailbreak it. I had read that all you needed to do was erase all content and settings then connect it to iTunes, so that's what i did.. and now my phone is stuck on the circulating thing on a black screen. Did i brick my phone by not restoring it with iTunes? :/
