Differences between buying Iphone 5 at Walmart or Verizon?

I will be purchasing my first Iphone and was wondering if there is a difference between purchasing through a verizon store or walmart? If purchased through walmart will apple still cover the warranty? I called walmart but they are as usful as a brick wall.

I purchased both my iPhone 5 and iPad 4 at Verizon this year and can tell you that Verizon has an advantage. Verizon currently allows you to purchase an iPhone or iPad at full price and let you pay for the purchase over a 12 month period. I'm not aware that Walmart has a comparable program.

See if they offer a protection plan and find out what it entails. I use to go through Best buy for upgrades but the costs are almost 15 a month and they don't give you a new phone anymore just a referb one. My 5 I bought at apple and got the apple care but thats not cheap either.

they are the same. walmart does a 12 month plan with no interest as well.
