Dissappearing contacts after pressing GROUPS

Poking around in the contacts I selected GROUPS. Afterwards all contacts dissappeared. They are in there somewhre becasue the favorites still showed them correctly.

After much trying I had to do a backup restore to get them to display again. I did an extensive search but found nothing that helped.

Anyone have any insight into this.

In Contacts - Groups, at the top you'll find "Hide All Contacts". If you tapped that unintentionally, all of your contacts will disappear, but they'll still be visible in the Phone app.
