Download edited contact list from IC to IP4

I am sure this question has been asked before...
I have been doing some weeding and edited and deleted lots of old and unwanted contacts via the ICloud website The ICloud contact list is now smaller than the contact list on my Phone. I would now like to download this smaller contact list onto my IPhone. I am however lost and cant work out a way to do this. I would be greatful for any help on the issue. Thanx in advance!

Isn't backup with Icloud enough ????

Any changes made in iCloud.com will be made in the contacts on your phone as long as "Contacts" is toggled on in Settings> iCloud.

Just make sure the Contacts is not toggled on In any other email account in Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars so there is no interference.
