Downloading an app on ipod touch..disapears?

My son will try and download a free app on his touch..then all of a sudden it disapears before it finishes installing. Why? Could it be not the right OS?

Does he sync the app to itunes? But then exit itunes/Remove USB? It happened to me when i done this

when he clicks to download the app he has to enter our itunes password..

but weve never hooked it to the computer..never needed to

You sure hes got memory on his iPod?

yes because he had just deleted a bunch of stuff.. plus i checked it

Yeah i think he needs to update, most apps are made to run on the 5+ update, he wont loose current apps and stuff when he does the update

Why dont you try this? Do the update, download one of the apps that keep on disappearing, if it stays, job done, if not, come back and we'll look into this problem abit further! Its good to help a fellow human
