Dropbox and Instagram

Coming from an Android, I was always able to go into an image in DropBox and share it directly to Instagram.

I haven't figured out if this is possible with my iPhone 6. I have to download the picture then share it. Is there any way to just do this directly?

It's not possible to get pictures from Dropbox to Instagram directly. It only works as you described it: save the images to the Photos app, then load them to Instagram.
