Both panels can be replaced. The front is extremely difficult and I would not recommend replacing it yourself unless you get the LCD screen digitiser and frame in one piece. The rear panel is much easier...

I'm just curious (enough to feed my paranoia): when you dropped your phone, did you have any kind of "bumper guard" or case on it for protection, or was it bare-bones?
