Ear-Mounted Camera Records Your Life and Saves it To Your iPhone

Wired’s Gadget Lab today features a really cool little ear-mounted video camera from Looxcie, which has just become iPhone-compatible thanks to a free app released to the App Store today. The Bluetooth camera, which costs $200 to buy, fits on your ear, and is constantly filming once you turn it on. When you feel that you want to record something, you simply press a button to save the last 30 seconds to your iPhone. Basically that means that you don’t have to miss out on the action while filming it. Gadget Lab points out that the quality leaves a little to be desired, being 480x320 at 15fps, but it will still be good enough for Facebook and YouTube I would imagine.

The accompanying app can be used to view the live video stream from the camera and edit and upload your clips. It’s designed primarily for use with the iPhone, but also works on the iPad.
