9to5 Mac writes today that it has heard from sources familiar with the matter that eight more companies have signed up to be a part of Apple Pay.
Here is the full list of banks and credit companies that the source provided:
Security Service Federal Credit Union
Consumers Credit Union
Virginia Credit Union
Cyprus Federal Credit Union
Fairwinds Credit Union
Mountain America Credit Union
Partners Federal Credit Union
Customers Bank
This latest news follows on from Apple’s announcement last month that Apple Pay now supports 90% of US credit cards, and will continue to roll out support for other card types from banks.
Apple Pay is presently only available in the US, but as 9to5 Mac notes, there have been a few recent clues here and there that suggest that the service will be arriving in other parts of the world very soon, such as job listings and other rumours.
