Email notifications

Pease help me. After recently updating my security details on my hotmail account my email automatically notifies me of any new emails coming in and I don't know how to turn this off. It is annoying when I get emails in the middle of the night and I have forgotten to mute the iPhone!

Any tips?

Go to setting> mail, contacts, calendars> fetch new data> push notification/ turn "off" push notification.
