EMI between iPhone 5 and car radio

Hello
I am keeping my phone in car mount located on the car dashboard. I connect it to car aux using retractable cable .
I noticed that quite often I have static noise ( electromagnetic interference ) between the phone and radio.
Before I was using Droid in the same car and never had EMI
Did someone notice similar?

Maybe the connection isn't firm, a weak connection might result in static being introduced into the signal from the phone.
