ESPN Updates SportsCenter App with iOS 8 Notifications Center Widgets

ESPN SportsCenter is arguably the best app on iOS for users to get all of their sports news, info, and scores. The app offers notifications for things like end-game score, news on specific teams, sports highlight videos, and more.

Today, ESPN decided to finally update SportCenter with iOS 8's Notification Center Widgets feature. Enabling the feature will allow users to see upcoming game times as well as current score for running games of favorited teams.

This is probably an update that ESPN should have issued day one of the iOS 8 release. As one of the top apps on the App Store charts, fans expect for an app like this to display scores in Notification Center, especially since it was shown at WWDC 2014 during the keynote. Ranting aside, ESPN's SportsCenter app and its update are now available in the App Store for free.
