Even after deleting email account/reboot,email memory >1 gig!

I was near my memory limit on my 4S and showed 1.1 G in email messages and attachments. I erased the account and rebooted, but it still shows 1.1 G used for mail. Any help?

Try restoring your iPhone using iTunes.

Before restoring, make sure there's a most recent backup (iTunes or iCloud). After restoring, you can restore from this backup.
