Hello, I just purchased a second hand iPhone 3GS 32GB model, and as expected for a used model the battery life did suck and I did replace it with a new battery.
This did improve battery life but certainly not as much as I had expected, it now lasts for about 24 hours with rather limited usage, which sure was disappointing.
What especially puzzles me is the short standby time that is supposed to last for many hours, I have a battery app that claims that standby time should last for 300 hours which is nowhere close to the truth.
I have an iPad as well, and the battery app seems to be correct when it comes to the usage, and standby activity really lasts for ages on the iPad where it perhaps drops just a few percent over night.
The iPhone standby mode seems to consume a lot more power though, so is that perhaps due to the mobile connection?
Is this normal or should I complain about this new battery?
