my iphone 4 is overheating while charging.. very very hot with slow charging
also rapid drainage in battery 10-15 % each 5 minutes...
i think the over heated part is the PMU Power Management Unit..
some says it's a software problem
others say it's PMU itself
others say ther are a short on the logic board

what u think?

I think you should restore to at least verify it is not a software problem. NOT FROM ANY TYPE OF BACK WHATSOEVER. Setup as new

And if this carried on contact your Apple store for the unit to be checked over.

Same problems here. Its really painful. I don't face any other problems yet but overheating and poor charging. Any suggestions please!

Whenever I had overheating problems i made sure to do a full cycle charge by charging to 100% with an ice pack under my iPhone, with a cloth between them, to keep my battery cool, then letting it drain to 5-10%, then let charge, and keep charging at least 2 hours after phone shows it is fully charged.

That usually did it. If it did not, I restored, and setup as new iPhone.

Makes me wonder if some people bother to actually read replies !!
