facebook crashing on news feed

Hey guys, I'm fed up with my facebook app, I am running on iphone 3gs 16gb ,ios 4.1 , using facebook 4.1.
I can use messages,my profile,chat. But as soon as I tap on news feed the app just crashes. Sometimes if I keep my finger on the
screen it stays on for about 4-6 seconds but eventually crashes again.
I tried to use older facebook apps like 3.1 , but same thing happend.Other apps on iphone work perfectly fine.

Can you please help me with this?

New servers and junk from Facebook. It's a problem for the majority of jailbroken devices and mostly for the 4S and older users. At least you can start up your News Feed. I can't even see it. Once I tap on the Facebook app, the screen with "Facebook" on it shows up for 2 seconds and crashes back to my main screen. I'm just using the browser version for now....

The problem is that I can't use safari for facebook because it always shuts down imediatly as facebook load.
