Facebook - HT keep a friend's posts off your wall?

In Facebook I'm having a lot of "friends" that I rarely ever hear from constantly posting to my wall, and I'd like to block their posts - not "unfriend" them. I know how to do it on my PC, but I don't see the option in my iPhone app. Also, I'll see the posts of these friends on my phone, but not on my PC (strange).

Can someone help?

I thought that as long as you have blocked them from posting on your wall from your PC, then those setting carry over to any mobile devise.
