MacRumors writes today that Facebook has launched a new iPhone app especially for posting and sharing your photos on Facebook. The app, called Facebook Camera, is supposed to make it faster and easier to post photos on Facebook, and in particular to share multiple photos via Facebook, something which is not currently as easy as it might be in the standard Facebook app. The app basically streamlines the way in which you browse your friends photos. Another report on the app on All Things D comments that it seems Facebook has been influence by Instagram, which it recently purchased, when putting this new app together, as the photos in the new app span the whole width of the iPhones screen. The new Camera app also lets you comment and like photos directly from the photo stream. The app even has Instagram-style filters. According to All Things D, Facebook Camera is also very fast, and generally it seems to be getting favourable reviews, indicating a smart move by Facebook to come up with an app dedicated to one of the main functions that people use Facebook for.
