The new service will use the same facial recognition technology seen on Facebook, figuring out which friends are in specific photos. Photos can then be shared with specific friends privately, without the need of sending a dozen email attachments. Finally, Moments also has a nifty feature where it will organize photos based on timestamps at specific events.
Moments seems like yet another way Facebook is trying to get into the private photo sharing biz, as well as looking like a great way to share photos from the night out before. The app is available to download for free from the App Store.
