Facebook messenger app

I have the fb messenger app but can see no icon so I've been unable to delete it.

I deleted the messenger app and fb app from iTunes and then deleted the fb app from my iphone4s and did a resync but the darn messenger is still there.

How do I get rid of fb messenger please?

See if you can delete it this way:
Settings>General>Usage>Manage Storage>FB>delete app
