Holding down on the Messenger icon on the Homescreen will now pop up with helpful shortcuts for the user. Apart from being able to compose a new message to anyone, Messenger's 3D Touch shortcuts also display three most frequently messaged users.
Last Summer, Facebook began allowing users to sign up for Messenger with only a phone number, no Facebook account needed. Packaged along with version 52.0 is the ability to reach all users by sending a message request.
Finally, sending any winter-related emoji or stickers will now cause snowflakes to fall across Messenger's screen.
Facebook's Messenger is now available to download in the iTunes App Store for free.
