Facebook notifications and sounds

Is there any special reason why Facebook's notifications don't make a sound? Or is there some obscure setting that I need to flip to change that?

Check your settings -> notification center -> facebook settings to see if sound is on

Yep, it's on. I turned it Off and back On again (you never know).

Its stopped working for a while. I think its meant to be this way

Just simply click on Start icon on your chat messenger which shows setting specifically for Chat Messenger and check or select " CHAT SOUNDS ".

Thanks, there was indeed a setting within the FB app (but not in the separate messenger app), which was set to 'important notifications only' for sounds.
