Facebook Notifications

So I get on Facebook today and the app is telling me that I have a new notification but there is nothing there and the red notification button will not go away. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? If so how did u fix it? This is driving me crazy.

Well I got it to go away. I had to login to Facebook on the actual site (not the app) and view the notification there.
