AppleInsider reports that Facebook has just made a significant update to its iOS app, bringing in the ability to send voice messages and upload video clips to your timeline in-app. The voice-messaging feature in the iOS app is very similar to the Facebook Messenger app voice messaging feature, whereby you can send short video messages of no more than one minute to your friends instead of text messages. You can do so very easily, by clicking on the + icon that is adjacent to the text box in Messages. The video recording feature can be accessed via the Photo menu, which is located at the top of the News Feed section. AppleInsider notes that this is the third update for the Facebook iOS app in under a month, as Facebook tries to keep up with the ever-evolving Twitter and Google. Also included in the update is an improved Nearby tab, enabling the user to share and connect with their favourite places more efficiently.
