SlashGear reports today that Facebook has issued a new update for its iPhone app to ensure that it now supports Facebooks timeline feature. The update is applicable for both iPhone and iPod touch, and an iPad version is also planned. The main purpose of Timeline is to provide you with a visual history of your engagements via the Facebook app. SlashGear says that in order to use Timeline on your iPhone, youll first have to have set Timeline up on your desktop computer or laptop. At present, its an opt-in service, and when you start it youll have seven days before it goes live with all your personal details, so make sure theres nothing on there you dont want everyone to be able to see! Aside from Timeline, the new update also adds subscribers and subscriptions control, streamlined photo viewing and changes to how you make comments, and the Friends lists have also been improved.
