first time jailbreaking and IDK if it worked right

Well I'm on ios5 and semi-tethered with redsnow. Everything works but my winterboard app, semi-tether app, activator, and iFile are all white icons. Why is this? Also when I down load themes like Black 'UPS darkness HD or other complete themes the main apps icons don't change. I'm running Black 'UPS darkness HD and my mail icon is still the same long with the facebook app too. Any Ideas or any links for a noob to read about how to theme? I'm coming from android phones and Ive had all of those rooted and running different ROM's so I can do it just need to be pointed into the right direction.

Black ups has a version that is Black'UPS HD iOS 5 that will address all the issue with the icons not theming
